Our People

No matter how remote the destination – if we offer it, it means we have a local staffer or representative within easy reach. Almost always, they are the person whose been active in setting-up the local services in the first place, so they have their finger on the pulse of what is great about where they are, and how to get the most out of it. They are there as a resource – they can answer your questions, point you to the right place, solve the problem that’s been puzzling you.

Every single one of them is a local expert, with years of experience at their fingertips. And of course, they all speak English. Each one of them is unique, with their own enthusiasms in life… there are eco-volunteers, bird-watchers, experts in English literature, photographers, windsurfers, gourmet chefs, and concert pianists amongst them, and we encourage a diversity of approach over dull homogeneity. With their safety net in place to catch you, you can dare to do the things you really want to do.

If something goes wrong, they are there to help. In the unlikely event that you’re not happy with something, they can intervene to put it right. Sadly most often the things they help fixing are when your life back home deals you an unexpected card in the middle of a trip – but if it happens, you can count on our help and support. It wouldn’t be fair to list the private emergencies we’ve helped to fix, but there have been some remarkable stories that we’re quietly proud of. We hope your trip goes without any hitches – but we’re there when needed.
