This itinerary is packed with the very best Russia can offer, the things you really want to see and do... you won’t miss a thing . However its differs from our usual style with the Trans-Siberian trips and here we are in small groups. No compulsory activities, lots of free time (with suggestions!), make your own lunch and supper choices (more suggestions!), pay for attraction admissions locally, extend your stay at either end of your trip (please advise prior to departure.)
Arrival in Moscow, with our usual guarantee to meet any flight, train or boat. Transfer to your hotel.
Sightseeing walk of Moscow - Red Square, Arbat Street, and all the famous sights. This afternoon’s your own to explore Moscow further - good day for the Flea Market Free evening - maybe grab some tickets for the circus or Russian Ballet

Free time to explore Moscow some more... maybe cruise Kuznetsky Most, of haggle the souvenir stalls along Arbat Street
The whole day’s free - and so much to see! Maybe book an excursion or call in to see Uncle Lenin at his Mausoleum Late evening transfer to the train station, and overnight train (in 4-berth sleeper compartments) northwards to St. Petersburg!
Early morning arrival in St. Petersburg, transfer to the hotel. Morning sightseeing walk around St. Petersburg - Nevsky Prospekt (the city’s main avenue), Griboyedov Canal, Church on the Spilt Blood, Admirality, St Isaac’s and more! Afternoon and evening free.
Why not go along to the Hermitage Collection - one of the world’s most famous art collections - on view within the Winter Palace, the former Royal Palace (tickets at own expense). Today is free for you to explore - maybe take a boat trip along the rivers and canals of the city they call the “Northern Venice”
Your last day in St. Petersburg is completely free for you to do whatever you like! Last minute presents for the family or souvenirs Then perhaps an evening farewell with new friends.
It’s all over too soon - Don’t forget to swap email addresses with your new friends. Own transport to the station or airport.
