Trans-Sib - Staff Photo-Album!

in our compartment Here we are on board the Trans-Mongolian! As you can see, it's not for claustrophobics, but you can have the longest party in the world (7685 kilometers) if you want!   Haydn says "bring packs of sweets, and licquorice allsorts - you soon become popular when you've got some sweeties on board!"
Forget all that stuff about queuing-up for bread - ancient history! Here we are on Moscow's Arbat Street, at a pavement cafe, soaking up the summer sunshine! arbat street, moscow
home, sweet home Home, sweet home, on the Mongolian Steppe. This was our Ger (the Mongolian name for a wooden-framed, camel-felt tent). It was quite comfortable, really! There's a solid-fuel hearth in the centre to keep you warm, and real wooden beds and furniture inside.
You can get all your favourite soviet tat on the trip too! This is St Petersburg, with us trying our best haggling skills with the local salesmen... st p souvenir market
