We're always happy when one of our travellers writes a review about their journey, but we loved this one
You think of Siberia, and you think of snow (although the summers are scorching hot, actually…) – so why not go in winter? Siberians live there all year round, so it’s not so crazy as it first sounds. The highlight of this trip is the world famous Harbin Ice Festival (which runs from “our” New Year to “their” New Year) in Chinese Manchuria.
Arrival in St. Petersburg. Your driver will meet on arrival and transfer you by private car to the hotel.
After breakfast one of our local experts will meet you at your hotel in the lobby for a three hour walking and familiarisation tour.
The rest of the day is your own.
Download our trip itinerary for full details of the tour plus visa requirements, climate info, hints, tips, and a travellers' checklist.
A full day for you to pack in the best of the rest. Own transfer this evening to Moskovsky Station where you will board the Moscow bound train.
We transfer you by private car directly to your hotel. This morning there's a three hour walking and familiarisation tour, to introduce the city (and its public transport system) and to get your sightseeing off to a flying start. The rest of the day's your own.
Free time to explore Moscow independently.
A full day to continue your sightseeing. Evening transfer to Yaroslavsky Station where you will board the Harbin bound train.
The train makes several unscheduled stops, allowing you only time to grab stocks for your larder and drinks cabinet.
Arrival in Harbin you make your own way to the hotel which is opposite the station. Balance of day free time.
