High Asia
Russia Experience has a set of new itinerary modules in preparation for launch in February 2008, featuring routes through “High Asia” – the historic Silk Route through Central Asia; the territories fought-over in the “Great Game” of nineteenth-century Imperial expansion between Russian Asia and the British Empire; routes through the Himalayan foothills and Tien-Shan mountains (including the Torugart Pass route); and the Chinese Silk Route to Kashgar, across the legendary Taklamakan and Marco Polo’s “Desert Of Lop”. All of the routes are set-up in the same successful format as our Trans-Sib trips – individual itineraries, no group departures, small and unique hotels, stupendously good guides, and all the paperwork sorted-out by us.
